Patriotic Mantel (4th of July)

My goodness, where is the time going?
It's hard to believe that June is almost over!

We're still running around with baseball,
but look forward to enjoying Summer
and the beautiful weather we're having.

I thought with the 4th on its way,
it might be time to show some
patriotic spirit with a
4th of July mantel!

This mantel came together quickly
and with everything that I already had on hand.

Do you remember I used this sign last year on
I made it out of the left over slats from my mom's window blinds.

What is it about red, white & blue that I love so much?

I hope you have a happy week
and
a wonderful 4th of July!

  2. Love the sign and the Uncle Sam. It's fun to decorate for the 4th. I want something up but since the house is on the market.......I will sneak a little decorating anyway.

  14. I love your fireplace and mantel...I think they are perfect for making new vignettes and this one is just wonderful! I have to follow the link to see how you made the sign...I have the same slats from our leftover blinds.

Thanks for the compliments on the table. I think the funny shaped top makes it look cute now instead of weird like it was before I painted it!!
